Peer Review Process

Every submitted paper will undergo an initial review by a Section Editor to determine its suitability for (SPJ) Sambas Pharmaceutical Journal's focus and scope, as well as to identify any major methodological flaws and assess the similarity score using TurnitIn. If the manuscript meets these criteria, it will then be reviewed by a minimum of two reviewers through a Blind Peer Review process.

The review process will evaluate several key aspects, including novelty, objectivity, methodology, scientific impact, conclusions, and references. The suggested decision regarding the manuscript will be discussed in an editorial board meeting, after which the editor will communicate the decision to the corresponding author.

The review process typically takes approximately 4 to 12 weeks. The decision categories include:

  • Decline Submission: Manuscripts that are not suitable for publication will be declined, and authors will not have the opportunity to resubmit a revised version to DHJ.
  • Resubmit for Review: Submissions that require significant reworking may be accepted, but they will necessitate a second round of review.
  • Revisions Required: Manuscripts may be published in DHJ contingent upon minor or major modifications. An editor will review the revisions to ensure that the necessary updates are made before publication.
  • Accept Submission: Accepted manuscripts will be published in their current form, with no further modifications required.
